Rascher Residence
Nestled within the historic Chicago neighborhood of Andersonville, the Rascher Residence is a modern re-envisioning of a classic Chicago Worker Cottage. This rehabilitation project features two stories, a basement and an addition at the rear, combining elegant design with the ease of functional living. The original exterior brick facade has been complemented by sleek standing seam metal cladding and large windows. The interior has undergone a complete transformation, featuring airy spaces that flow into each other with warm wood tones and sophisticated black metal accents throughout. The heart of the home is anchored in place with a sweeping white Macaubas Quartzite waterfall counter. The rear addition embodies a seamless transition to an outdoor oasis with a collapsible glass wall and complementary materials . Clean lines and thoughtful design features make this project the epitome of refined city living.
