Everman Lofts
The design intention for the Everman Lofts revolved around the needs of two users: our clients, who wanted to create something truly special, and the needs of the end users, the inhabitants of the completed project. During the design process one of the greatest challenges was the conversion this large and open place of worship into a functional, attractive multi-unit residential building. After working closely with our structural engineer to understand the existing framing of the structure, new floor levels were determined while still maintaining the existing character of the interior space. The end result was a housing complex which offered unique apartments to the surrounding neighborhood and brought back to life a building which otherwise would remain a remnant of the past.
